Dixie Porch was born out of our hearts' desire to invite you to create an atmosphere concerning the environment around you that has a warm and inviting feel to it. A feeling that will take us back to the days when everyone in the neighborhood worked together as a community to protect the unity between families. We want to bring back that feeling of happiness and laughter that comes from backyard gatherings for BBQs, outdoor games with the kids, and swinging together on the porch to share wholesome meaningful conversations about your favorite topics.
Often times environments are created in neighborhoods by the very décor that you choose to place in your yard or on your porches or inside your home; these items have the potential to speak to your families and friends and neighbors, that you care. That you care about them personally, that you care about their families and their extended families, and that you care about those that live around you because we all need one another to get by in this world. When you create a warm inviting atmosphere that people around you can feel loved in, safe in, and protected in, then you are setting the perfect and good example for others around you to follow.
People learn that they can trust; that as a family member, as a friend, as a neighbor, they can trust in you to always have their backs, they can trust in you to always be there for them to listen to what may have their hearts so weary. This environment invites those endearing hugs and gentle smiles, reassuring them that it is all going to be ok. People will then start to feel comfortable sitting together for a while on the porch as they share a glass of lemon-aide or sweet tea sharing their lives with others who truly care. This will be a place where your children can play without sadness, and your women can dance without fear and the men walk tall with honor; the creation of an environment where God’s Light, Peace and Love exist. This creation can be as near to Heaven on Earth as we can get!
